Rawnsley Park Station is still a working sheep station, running approximately 2000 sheep on 12 000ha of land. Learn about the pastoral history of the region and what it takes to work in an arid environment. If done sensibly, our blend of Australian Merino and South African Dohne sheep prosper in this climate, producing high quality wool and meat.
Discover the operations of our working sheep farm. Visit the original woolshed of Arkapena station. Get to know some of our sheep and learn how the wool is sorted and prepared for sale. Then tour the property while checking on the watering points, equipped with windmills and solar pumps and see the changing landscapes within Rawnsley Park Station.
